Both kids helped Sam set up the tent.
The day was filled with this surly tween, who refused to be surly in the photo, but was committed to it throughout the day.
Max zenning out.
Jess hiked up the mountain.
Where there were fields of teeny flowers.
A little basketball.
A little BB gun.
And a rocket.
Followed by some tent time, reading The Far Side, while Jess and Sam napped.
