Madd Max Gets A Sunset

Originally, the crew was supposed to arrive 5 weeks earlier, but the plans changed when the biggest storm of the year hit that weekend.  Big Bear brought out the sunset guns to make up for it.

 

Cameras were at the ready.

A little viewing help.

Some pool was played.

Some porches hung out on.

And the real food parade began with a charcuterie table by the Widomski-Allans.

Then it was time for some crab bisque by Steve.

But first, breakfast with Aunt Rachel, Gwen and Taisie who arrived late last night.

Packed.  You know, for a weekend.

Slappy Has A Meet

What Jess has been doing during the home meets - volunteering in the concession booth, where all Burroughs athletes eat free (which she thinks is very cool).

There was a rain and lightening delay, which meant everyone waited under the bleachers.

 

Until this, where it was still raining but also there were blue skies because LA is very confused when it comes to weather.

Maddie also PR'd (Personal Record) at pole vaulting, making 6'-0".

Madd Max Goes To The Tiny Beautiful Things Premiere

 

Held at Hinoki & the Bird.  First, a cocktail hour.

 

Shared with this amazing woman, our showrunner, Liz.

 

It was fancy, complete with sit down dinner.

 

And menu cards.

The first course was enjoyed with a panel discussion with Liz, author Cheryl Strayed, and producer Lauren Levy Neustadter.

There were even take home gifts.

Filled with chocolates that represented key scenes in the series.  An impressive evening.

The town where Sam and Jess got engaged in 2001.  They stayed in this Bed and Breakfast after a celebratory dinner with friends after the engagement.  Now one of the humans they made was able to stand in front of it slightly confused.
