Well, first annual. Instead of an Easter egg hunt in the Findleys or Kender-Pages backyards, where there is ongoing construction, everyone gathered at the house, had some munchies, grabbed a sip cup and headed over to Toby and Taisie's.
Max was fully dressed for the occasion.
All these kids.
And the hunt begins.
Aarin had stayed up the night before to fill all of these eggs.
Jess received a call from Jackson's mom, who had a request from her son to text Maddie. They had gotten the idea after passing notes in class, which they refer to as "paper texting." Neither Jackson nor Maddie had ever texted anyone except family, so this was a very big day. After some explaining of the rules of texting, the first text was sent. Please note, our girl's first real text to her friend was "that is poop."
This is the second time we have stayed at this Big Bear house, which is awesome except for one thing - the lights over the kitchen island that shine directly into your eyes while you cook and chat. Some of you may recall that the group attempted to solve the issue in 2013.
Here are the 3 ways the situation was addressed in 2016.
And yes - all 3 designs stayed up like this the entire weekend.
That guy is actually held together innovatively with a bread bag clip.
