Madd Max Dines Al Fresco

In Providence, the cousins headed to the RISD Museum.

 

While in NH, the fam prepped for another Whites Gates pizza night.

Taisie always makes the best salads.

The cuddles might have been a little forced, but still not bad.

Back in RI, the teens dined off of the Brown Block Party.

Madd Max Does Chocorua Classics

Jess and Simon went out to breakfast at his favorite diner.

 

Hot cocoa, grilled cinnamon buns and a breakfast sandwich with hash browns for the win.

Followed by another hike up Bickford Heights.

Relaxing at the summit.

And an evening of puzzling and movie watching.

The morning started with breakfast at the resort for Sam and Jess, which has this tree in the restaurant lobby.

Over at Brown, the cousins hit the gym, something Gwen was super excited about doing.

Madd Max Have A North Conway Day

The White Mountain Hotel and Resort did not have any single bed rooms available.  This was ok because now there was a puzzle bed.

Lunch at the Met in charming downtown.

A warm New England walk.

There was some reading by the pool, even in the rain, which then turned into thunder and rain.

Dinner at the resort, where Sam and Jess brought the median age of the restaurant considerably down.

Meanwhile, Uncle David took the boys to dinner and mini-golf.

Madd Max Has Different Experiences With States Of Water

Day 1 at Brown began with a rough start, ie a flooded bathroom.

Luckily, there was breakfast with a cousin. 

 

Meanwhile, Max and Sam took Simon out on the ice. 

While Taisie hammered some ice at home - one does what one must for a mojito.

And the girls were missed at dinner.

They tubed on land.

While they waited for the van.

They tubed on water.

For about 3 hours, and it was lovely.

The evening ended with a Jackbox session with the Kender Krew.  Simon as "LittleBethel" in response to Jess' "BigKender" held his own.

Look closely at Gwen's head accessory.

Maddie, Jess, Gwen and Max headed out across the lake, and were met by Taisie and Aunt Rachel on the other side.  Max paddle boarded back solo.

The hike took about 3.5 hard hours to get to the summit.

Max made it up about a half hour before everyone else.

It's a pretty summit with a cool breeze on a hot day.

Madd Max Watches The Sandwich Fireworks

These dudes reminded Jess of the Carnegie boys of Le Nook, using the cherry picker to get to the roof for the views.

The fam is ready after tossing around glow necklaces in the dark.

The fireworks - they were petite and some were almost all behind the trees, but the overall effect was charming, if not perhaps a little befuddling.
