It was a 1 mile hike all downhill. And a 1 mile hike all back uphill. These were the expressions halfway downhill from Sonia and Max. Aiden and Maddie were much happier.
A giant fallen sequoia that had a hollowed middle that the kids could climb thru.
And out the other end.
And another that cars used to be driven thru.
On the way back - Jess instituted "complain spots" in designated areas where, then and only then was complaining allowed on the hike up. Max used them profusely.
