A day or two a week, Jess puts notes into the kids' lunches. She remembers, very fondly, Mimi doing the same.
This came home with Max this week.
And Maddie has saved every note Jess has left her. (She taped them all together, and then they fell victim to the robot vacuum. She still has them).
