In the morning, Jess was gently reminded by another mom that today was Maddie's graduation. She had guessed from Maddie's casual appearance, that Jess had forgotten this big event. She was right. Luckily, Jess was able to make it, especially because Maddie had a special part.

When the kids got called up to receive their diplomas (which were actually CDs of pictures from over the years), the teachers would say something about them. Miss Karine called up, "Maddie Page, who is willing to do anything."
