But not without her brother on the floor, who desperately wanted to sleep in his own room. Maddie said she would be scared; perhaps Jess felt a little of the same. After all, Maddie is so high up and so far away (the farthest room in the house from the master). Both Jess and Maddie made it through the night fine, although Jess felt wistful the entire next day.

So sweet Max slept in with her and that Maddie wanted him. All growing up.
I can't show Maya these pictures because she'll be too jealous of that awesome bed. I want one.
