The Scrapper Has Seperation Anxiety
Which has been brought about by daycare. Which in turn has made his daycare experience to date, not so awesome. Day 1 - Jess stayed with him all day. Day 2 - Jess stayed for an hour, left for two. When she left he was crying. When she came back, still crying. Day 3 - All by himself. Jess picks him up, and he cries, "Mama! Bye-bye! Maddie! Home! Stroller!" Day 4 - He has been taking some time off of crying to watch the other kids. Day 5 - When Jess goes to leave, he begins wailing and grabbing at her legs. Jess removes him, and heads to the exit. In running to go after her, he trips and slams into the concrete, hence the welt on his forehead. Both Jess and Max are having a tough time, but everyone says it gets better.

Ouch!
yikes..poor Max :(
Oh no. I feel bad for both of you. Hopefully he will change his mind about the whole thing soon.
This too shall pass. For real.

the goose egg alone makes me want to cry! henry has had multiple...i nearly bought him a helmet.
the separation anxiety makes me cry for both of you, too. it must tear at your heart. i hope that transition can get easier and that he soon can feel safe and secure without you there. the adjustment is different for all kids. in his own time i suppose. oh, sweet max love his mama!!
poor max! and poor jess!! gwendolyn had terrible separation anxiety too, it was awful for all of us for several months, and then it mysteriously just got better, it seems to change so much with age. Hang in there!
