After stopping by Sam's office, we headed over for lunch at The Water Garden. Lunch for Maddie and Sam consisted of a lot of running after ducks.
And a constant battle over whether or not getting in the water was a good idea (it was about 90 degrees - you decide).

Having just suffered through one of the worst rainstorms and floods in New Jersey history in 40 degree weather, a cooling dip in LA's 90 degrees is something this grandparent could not argue against.
