Francoise and Mimi get ready to head over to the shower - both of them came in for less than 48 hours to celebrate with us. (Jess is 31 weeks pregnant).
We arrive at the shower where food and drink seemed to be coming off of every surface - obviously this was thrown for a Kender. Marissa and Aarin, our great friends and hostesses, even went as far as to bake and frost these cookies themselves (although they both said the prettiest ones were frosted by Chuck).
Then it was time to have Taisie and Grandpa Toby join the party. They took their Statler and Waldorf seats and were able to chat and enjoy the shower from their upstairs den in Rhode Island.
Don't eat the babies!
Outside, our friends worked on custom onesies and bibs for Slappy. We'll try to show them all off once Slappy can actually get inside them - perhaps in a special "Stuff on My Baby" section of this blog.
It was amazing how much love, i.e. loot, was brought for our little girl.
The hostesses - Aarin showing off one of Slappy's new books, and Marissa making diligent notes, so that Sam and Jess can appreciate each gift.
This clothesline of goodies got pulled across the living room floor.
Oscar is already getting jealous about this one - perhaps another deal is in the making.
