Slappy Takes A Solo Trip To Chicago

Uncle Wills would come out and stay with Sam and Jess for a week during his summers.  He credits that with one of the reasons he and Jess are close, and offered to host Maddie for a weekend in Chicago.  She jumped at the opportunity before the entire sentence was out of Jess' mouth.

Madd Max Visit Chinatown

Maddie does not eat breakfast burritos.  Dozee made her a special one - full of Lucky Charms.

Mimi had read an article on the restaurants that had recently opened in Chinatown, so the fam headed down to try them.  Maddie loved all the shops.

Mimi decided that for the year, she will be visiting Jess and Uncle Wills, alternating months.  This was CA's turn.  Which meant lemon cream pie from Chili Johns.

And breakfast burritos from Corner Cottage, along with fresh squeezed juice from Portos.

About 4 hours later, the fam returned to Leonia when their flight was officially delayed by 10 hours.  On an up note - the kids got to have Blizzards which, to Jess, is a very summer treat.
