The Scrapper Has His Inside-Out Day

9 months have passed since Max came outside into the world, matching his time on the inside. Today he celebrated 9 months plus 1 day with Feldie at Paty's.

This also meant he had his 9 month check-up. Stats as follows:

Maddie joined her bro at brunch and at the pediatrician's for her 2 year check-up. Stats as follows:

Madd Max Gets Checked Up

At today's visit to the pediatrician, Maddie cried when Max was given his vaccinations along with her own. And here are their stats (Maddie is almost 19 months, and Max is almost 3 months).

Head Circumference: 18 5/8cm (55th percentile)

Jess feared a tough day after the doctor visit and Maddie's first day without a nap, but things took a positive turn when they headed to ELF's for dinner. Maddie was so excited to see her, she attempted to scale her crib as ELF woke up from her nap.

Madd Max Are Big

And not just as in Big-Time, ie socializing all around the Valley, as seen here at lunch with Auntie Kerri and Taisie (which Max slept through again - double yeah!)

Today was Max's 2 week check-up and Maddie's 16 month check-up (ok - we were a little late for the 15 month one).

Weight: 23lbs. 12oz. (50th percentile)
Head Circumference: 18 1/2cm (60th percentile)
Max -
Height: 21 1/4"(up 3/4" since 1 day)
Weight: 7lbs. 7oz. (up 12oz. since 1 day)
Head Circumference: 14 1/4cm (up 1cm since 1 week)The fam headed over to Steve's where he grilled like a master, before heading off to Vancouver to work like a master.ELF was there to parallel play in the sand. While Max cuddled with Erin, and also got to meet John and Suzanne for the first time.

Slappy Has Height

At her one year check-up, Maddie checked in as follows:

- 1 year and 4 days old
- Weight: 20lbs 3oz (50th precentile)
- Height: 31" (90th percentile)
- Head Circumference: 18 cm (55th percentile)

The doctor called her incredibly social and was impressed by her "How does a kitty go?" noise. Maddie spent the visit shredding the paper on the table and swinging Jess' necklace around, except for a shot that made her cry and Jess tear up just a little.

Slappy Gets Extra Credit

Maddie went to the doctor for her 9 month check-up.
Not only did she get her stats, but the doctor checked in to make sure she was hitting all of her milestones, babbling, standing, etc. Jess has been trying for weeks to catch her babbling milestone on camera. Clearly, she knows, for this is all that can be captured. Let it also be known, Maddie first learned this skill in the middle of a large, quiet conference.

Here's where she stands now:
Weight: 17lbs. 14 oz. (25th percentile)
Height: 29 inches (90th percentile - this is where she got extra credit - although to the doc, that meant the nurse erred on the high side when measuring her, but we did not double-check)
Head Circumference: 17 1/2 inches (50th percentile)

Slappy Is So Big

Both Maddie and ELF headed to the pediatrician for their 6 and 2 month check-ups.
Maddie is now:
- 6 months and 3 days old.
- Weight: 15 lbs (25th percentile)
- Height: 26" (50th percentile)
- Head Circumference: 17" (55th percentile)

ELF came in at 13lbs. (95th percentile). ELF is also so big.

The little girls went out with their moms and Auntie Rachael for gelato to celebrate (Rachael is one of Jess and Aarin's oldest friends - as in elementary school old). Aarin would neither share how she made that baby so big, nor would she cop to how she got her to sleep through the night (That's right - ELF slept through the night. Twice.)
