Madd Max Has No Dining Room Table

It was given up in order to have a good playroom. Luckily, Marissa and Nico did not seem to mind dinner around the coffee table.
And Max enjoyed the adult conversation from below it.

Madd Max Has Mexican

But first some play time with Tio Greg.
After a taste of Señor Fish, Aiden demanded more with a little Don Cuco's. His demand was clear as he furiously hand waved and intensly stared at his mama's food.
Max demanded a little more cuddle time with Dzedo, as he and Tio Greg were heading back to the east coast in an hour.

Madd Max Meets LA Rain

Uncle Wills and Mimi headed home early in the morning, just as the rains began to fall. The rest of the fam headed out for lunch. After being rained out of their first location, they headed down the block to a fully indoor restaurant.
Aiden watched with amazement, all of the downed power lines and flooding.
Maddie took a more direct observation approach.
Once inside, the boy cousins enjoyed each others company. Every time they would come across each other, they would smile and reach out to touch one another.
During a rain break, a walk to the post office involved some hiding from the paparazzi.
Followed by a warm, one pot dinner from Dzedo.
Which Maddie enjoyed feeding to Tio Greg.

Madd Max Celebrates Christmas One Last Time

The entire Kender clan headed out to Grub for a Christmas morning breakfast. Christmas, you say? Because the family was all spread out at the end of December, everyone had waited until now to exchange gifts.
In celebration of the event, Max tried his first solid food, an orange slice. He went to town on it.At home, Tio Greg tried a little Aiden.
Next, some fine Secret Santa-ing.
Along with chips and homemade guac, something every LA Christmas should have.
It was a day of lots of Christmas lovin'.

Madd Max Hangs With Aiden

And Aiden's folks, Uncle Ant and Aunt Tara.
The boy cousins had a simliar taste in toys, choosing the ones that fit most comfortably into their respective mouths.Even better then toys in the mouth, was guacamole - a first for Aiden. At, you guessed it, Señor Fish.
Maddie was riveted by her uncles ball play after lunch.
Max was thrilled at the fine coordination Uncle Wills and he had going.
Dzedo, Jess and the kiddos headed to the park, while Sam taught Uncle Wills how to drive stick. What a pretty face.
As with any family visit - In-N-Out was in order, after all Tio Greg had arrived, completing the family unit.
And Aiden got his first taste of an In-N-Out burger animal style. He dug it.
Jess was lucky enough to end her night cuddling both a tired Aiden and tired Max.

Madd Max Goes To The Aquarium

In Mimi's rental mini-van, the transportation of choice for the big family.
The first exhibit was Max's favorite, the tropical fish tank. His eyes darted from fish to fish to fish constantly.
Maddie loved that she could go right up to the glass on the exhibits. The sea lions were her absolute favorite, and earned what Mimi dubbed, "The Sea Lion Dance." It involved running on tiptoes, laughing, and the occasional hand in the air.
A great time was had by those carrying and those carried.
At lunch by the Marina, Maddie decided that she is too old for high chairs, and demanded to be in a big girl chair, even though her chin just cleared the tabletop.
Max spent lunch on Uncle Wills' lap, which gave Jess two free hands the entire time. Heaven.

Madd Max Celebrates Mom's 34th

By heading to Baby Gym class with Uncle Wills.

And then some park time with Mimi and Dzedo.
A little jelly stacking at lunch at Paty's, where Jess got to have breakfast for lunch.
Some time devoted to Uncle Wills' genius game of stack the blocks, knock over the blocks.
Followed by a game of swing.
Sam baked Jess a black and white cake. He mixed the icing in the garage so as not to wake the wee ones and made sure the candles were colored coded for birthday representation.
Jess got a present of a trash can of cash from her parents, who took a page out of the Kincaid way of gifting. The evening wrapped up with Uncle Wills' present, an evening of babysitting so that Sam and Jess could get some quality adult time.

Max and Uncle Wills spent some quality alone time when Maddie headed off to her audiologist's appointment with Mom.
Then Maddie got some bonding time in when Uncle Wills introduced her to salsa. It's like sassy ketchup.
She showed her appreciation by introducing him to the fine art of stick collecting.
At the end of the day - another surprise! More family! Mimi and Dzedo appeared at the park just in time for some nose cuddling.
