In a first time move, the adults left the kids at home by themselves and went out wine tasting.

Happy, hot kids, watching movies.

That's what it made the day feel like.  It's a whole new world.

This time a Hawaiian theme - macadamia/pineapple bread, blueberry/macadamia muffins and SPAM, which Sam did fry up.

Maddie has begun to really enjoy the Koffees and asks Jess almost daily when the next one is.

The adults table.  It was really quite lovely, and both tables were very happy with the arrangement.

Madd Max Has A First Day At School

First day of middle school.  Maddie was nervous and anxious to get inside.  Jess had brought her in her car, and Sam was following behind.  She would not stay to wait for Sam to catch up because she was desperate to get in and not be late.

And just like that, she was gone.
