Madd Max Get Spoiled

Boat sushi.
A home cooked meal by Dozee.
And a giant birthday cupcake, as the lunch birthday cake did not survive the trip back from San Clemente.

Madd Max Heads To San Clemente

Because Uncle Wills and Aunt Ally also happened to be there visiting her folks.
Lunch.
And a surprise birthday cake for the very surprised almost 8-year-old.
Beach frisbee.
And a quick visit with the Leibleins.

Madd Max Gets More Grandparents In Town

Mimi and Dozee arrived late Thursday night.  Just in time for morning tickles.
And the walk to school.
Later, dinner at Taisie and Toby's.
Where the kiddos made bunnies under Mimi's direction.
How to make a bunny.

Madd Max Inner Tubes

Top of the hill.
About to go down the hill.
 Bottom of the hill.
The fam ended up leaving earlier than planned after Sam made a comment to Max about his chances of losing his wiggly tooth on the slopes.  This put Max into a panic.  Once we got back to the house, this happened.
 Blankets, snacks and movie time.
 That's cozy.
And that's some civilized hot cocoa drinking.
There was also this - and Jess does love a hot tub.

Madd Max Eats

One of the best things about Big Bear is all of the food.
Pies aplenty.
Treats and stretching.
 Friends and breakfast.
 Friends and dinner.
This is what it feels like.

Slappy Has Girl Friends

Isse, Fiona, Elizabeth, Lilly, Maddie and Ellie.
And the little girls, Audrey and Caroline.
Thoughtful girl talk.

Madd Max Comes Inside

What to do when you've come in from the cold?
Hustle a little pool.
 Climb a little Alex.
Zone out to Kung Fu Panda 2 because you're exhausted from getting up all night to find the iPad.
 Climb a little Alex.
Or the lower route - get pulled by a little Alex.
Later, a little Clue with Kathleen.

Madd Max Enjoy The Fresh Snow

Amazingly - this was almost all gone Sunday morning.
A California girl very impressed by an icicle.
 Snow as family.
 Snow as food.
 Yummy.
 Snow as angels.
Can you tell he's the only boy in the group?

Madd Max Settles In

Once 4 of the 6 families had arrived, it was time to get down to business.
The business of eating and drinking, that is.
While the adults handled the wine and Moscow Mules, the kids handled the ziti.
Ziti and water.
 Yeah, it was handled.
Even Steve got in on the action all the way from Hawaii.
A little pre-bedtime movie.  All the big kids slept in one room, and this was the last time they saw that iPad, after getting up at 2am, 4am and 6am to look for the iPad to play on.  It was from that point on that Big Bear was declared an iPad-free zone.
