The Scrapper Turns 2.2

Max's birthday party came a little late this year. The plan was to have a 3 pool party, but we awoke to a heavy, cold marine layer. The party plan quickly changed to a ball pit/heated pool party. Yes, Sam heated the pool under the aerobed.
There were bubbles.
Attention was called to the fact that this party was almost equal in the ratio of our group of friends to Max's friends from school.
As the morning went on, the heated pool was opened up to Max and his ladies.
It even got warm enough to open the other one.
Cake.
All over.
The impenetrable pinata.
Which resulted in kids' frezy where they tore it apart with their hands.

Madd Max Celebrate Gimlet

ie Baby Williams.
Celebrated with milkshakes.
A grilled cheese bar.A very well-received grilled cheese bar.In the Leonhardt backyard. The Halloween theme may seem peculiar but with a due date of 10/31, I mean, c'mon.Max thought it was very important to show off this chip - Jess was going for the Superfly hat he made for little Gimlet.
All the kids ate around their own table having 3-5 year old conversations that seemed to involve hilarious tales of pooping.
If you look closely, you can see little babies all over that pumpkin.

Madd Max Head To The Beach

For the first time as a family of four.
This was about as far as Max got.
And this expression demonstrates his thoughts on the whole ocean thing.
His sister, however, was thrilled, yelling at the waves, "Come to Madeline!! Oh my goodness!"

Madd Max Has Day 2

I love you, Uncle Wills!
The Nemo Ride, possibly the new favorite.
The kids asked for more when it ended.
But two full days of Disneyland will knock a kiddo out.

Madd Max Welcomes Mimi's Return

Which means a return to Disneyland. On a hot, sweaty day, ice cream at 10 in the morning seemed just right.
Still a fan favorite.
Yeah, still awesome.
Max's first independent ride.
This time around, Maddie was much more sure of what rides she did and did not want, and Max was much more excited about joining her.
Both kids insisted on riding in the gate, meaning the caged animal train cars.
Who wouldn't?
We returned to the hotel around 3pm for naps, which meant we didn't nap at all and instead just played with these balloons.

The Scrapper Gets A Big Boy Bed

Although Max seemed more impressed by the disassembling/assembling of the bed, then the actual bed.
Maddie seemed very excited by the idea that there was a new place for jumping.

Madd Max Go Swimming

The Leonhardts are back in town, and their solar panel heated pool is back in business. The waiting was tough.
But sooo worth it.
And it was a first for the Kender-Pages - both kids in a pool at once.
Lilly and Elizabeth, already old pros at the pool game.ELF also had learned how to swim this summer.
Fiona cheered/napped poolside.
