What happens in LA in a big downpour.  This is a block from Max's middle school.

Madd Max Gets Snow

Which meant the planned Big Bear trip was cancelled due to a massive storm including a blizzard, so a mini Big bear gathering was in order, complete with homemade soup dumplings by Lilly.

Not nearly as big or as snowy a house.

 

Although, the company was still quite nice.

 

As was the cookie bar.

Madd Max Goes To The Daisy Jones Premiere Party

Working on the second of two pans of banana chocolate chip muffins.

Afternoon Pickwick bowling.

Then it was time for some "70s inspired glam" attire per the premiere invite.

 

With jackets because it was cold.  But also - the jackets are dope.

Madd Max Does Even More College And Burbank

 

Maddie stayed home due to illness, which meant some morning game time, while Mateo and his parents headed to Chapman, Irvine and USC.

Fresas.

Lucia and Valentina did some Burbank rock climbing, where they were so good, they were invited to join a rock climbing club.

Gassed out after an hour and a half.

No visit would be complete without a stop at Sliders.

And of course, some Jackbox TV.

Madd Max Colleges And Hangs In Burbank

The morning started with Tante, Eddie, Mateo and Jess heading to a post facility, where they visited with Mandi, a post producer friend who answered questions about editing and the post process.  Then Jess headed home, while Mateo headed with his parents to see CalArts.

Upon return, Lucia headed out with Tante and Jess to thrift in search of an outfit for Thursday night's event.

Slappy Heads To Disneyland

The morning started with a trip to Donut Prince, a classic LA joint complete with autographed photos on the wall.

On the tram to the park - Valentina's excitement was contagious.

Everyone headed right to the Star Wars area.

The Disney crew.

She begged for cotton candy.

One of Tante's favorite rides (not so much for Jess).

At the end of the night, Maddie begged for one more ride, so they tried their luck with the single rider lane in Star Wars land, and got right in.

A nice way to end a full day.

Madd Max Visits Some College

But first, some morning gaming.

Followed by robot delivered drinks at Kura Revolving Sushi.

Along with some conveyor sushi.

Then it was down to UCLA, for the first of many college visits.

The soon-to-be college man, Mateo.

So dope.

 The Viélot-González fam!! Who are taking their spring break to look at colleges with Mateo and spend some quality time.

Slappy Has Her First Tack Meet

She ran the 200 Meter Dash and came in 5th of 14 with a time of 30.91; she was second in her heat.  It was exciting to watch.  She also did the triple jump and came in 4th of 5 with a 25-8.50 (Jess does not know what this means).

Slappy Gets Her Varsity Letter

Varsity as a freshman, due in part (mostly) to the fact that the Varsity girls did not have enough people to qualify so Madd got moved up.  Her expression reflects the way she felt about lettering thru these channels. She did say she, for sure, was using this on her college applications.

Perhaps a great parenting decision, perhaps not.  Either way - Jess was thrilled and the kids thought it was hilarious.

Madd Max did this with Luke, Val, Ava and Luca before and after going to Geeky Teas all by themselves until around 9:30 at night.

Sam and Jess did this with Renee, Curtis, Rhiana and Matt.
