Madd Max Enjoys Jess' Last Hiatus Day

Lunch out.
The Girl Scout Friendship Circle.
And the bringing out of the pool, which the kids stayed in for 2 hours as Jess enjoyed a frosty, blended, adult coffee.

Madd Max Head To The Lighthouse

This pix does not nearly do the awesome lighthouse justice.
Which you walked through a tunnel and on a bridge suspended over the ocean to get to.
It had amazing views of the Golden Gate and San Fran.
The walk back.
In time for Maya's return from school, and some playground time.

Madd Max Head To The Beach

When we first arrived, it was windy and chilly but the sand was so warm.
Much of the first half hour was spent lying on said sand.
As it warmed up, there was playing in the ocean.
And watching playing in the ocean.

Madd Max Don't Wine Taste

But Jess and Kears do.
Todd and Sam gifted the ladies a day out in Napa for Mother's Day.
Which started with some champagne.
And wine tasting.
Followed by a brunch and a walk.
That evening, after being kept active by the Dad's all day, the coveted kids' sleepover.

Madd Max Make It To San Raf

In time for story time.

Madd Max Hit Up E's Bday

E being Miss Elizabeth, who turned 5.
It was held at The Wildlife Learning Center, where cool things were touched.
A rapt Myles and Suzanne.
An interested Izzy.
The giant snake.
And a girl and her cake.
Followed by another girl and her cake - it was also Erin's birthday.

Madd Max Prepare

Today was another drive up to the North for a Dr's appointment, made awesome by the fact that we would have 2 full days to spend with Maya and fam.  Both kids got up and immediately packed.  Everything.
Max first packed his clothes, which consisted of mostly long pants, long sleeved shirts and socks for the 90 degree weather, "In case I get cold."  He then wore his backpack in anticipation from 7am-9:30am when we headed out.  Later, Madd commented that, "Sometimes kids get so excited about seeing their friends, that they forget they brought up toys to play with."  This was in reference to the fact that none of their packing ever came out of their bags.

At her school, where she showed Max all her work.
Along with her parents.
Her rendering of herself on the "Thinking Train."

Madd Max See The Endeavor

But first, a breakfast for all.  Lucky Charms for the kiddos, which they have been waiting for all week.  Donuts for Max.  Fresh squeezed OJ for all.  Breakfast burritos for the big kids.  Each one purchased at a different Burbank establishement.
 The Apollo.
When you can't reach the Space Shuttle's tires on your own, it's good to have a big sister.
The Endeavor and Maddie doing her best Dozee impression.
What the kids loved best - the water table for making dams.
Cute.
