So they celebrated with some bowling with Bill and Aeryn.

Maddie explained to us that Martin Luther King Jr made people be nice to each other.  Also, that he would have wanted her brother to share that toy with her.

For an hour or so during the return trip layover - 3 days after the original anticipated return.

Max was wearing a Superman shirt during the travel, and had numerous adults say to him, "Hi, Superman!" His response to each one was, "Do you know I'm not the real Superman?"

 Maddie actually fell down outside, and was upset not by the fall, but by the fact that she had to take her hands out of her pockets to break it (and then they were freezing).

To make lemonade out of the delay, Mimi took the fam to Jess' favorite museum.  And above, her favorite hall.

 Maddie was very proud that she was not scared of anything.

Then it was over to the cousins' for some engineering.

 After returning from the airport, which was in chaos from the storm, a happy, big shoe dance was preformed in celebration of the fact that the fam would be delayed in Leonia for 3 more days.

Then a serious game of checkers commenced.

But first, a visit to "The Amazing Max," followed by lunch in the city.

Then it was over to Tante's for some gaming.

And dress-up.

4-6 inches were dumped overnight.

Which inspired Sam and the kiddos to shovel.  Jess was not so inspired.

Once inside, there was some toy play.

The kids made it till 8:30.
