Even with a fire in the fireplace, the house was still freezing. Add to that, Cali kids in shorts, and there was a hustle to figure out how to warm the place up.
Luckily, Taisie knows how to keep a good fire going, and with the exception of the wind making the house quite smoky at times, she kept it going while Jess unsuccessfully fought the pellet stove.
Fingers were crossed that a cozy warmth would be found the next day.
