Slappy Goes On A Hot Walk

Mimi, Mom and Maddie headed out this morning for a 45 minute walk around Burbank. Burbank is even hotter when you're 9 months pregnant.

Slappy Is Serious

Last night, Jess had some regular but ultimately benign contractions, which Maddie obviously recognized as change in the works. No longer being the sole focus of your parent's world, is no small matter. She asserted her dominance by resting her hand on The Scrapper while watching i-phoned Sesame Streets.
(Jess is 38 weeks pregnant).

Slappy Picks Up Sticks

A favorite activity: walking through the front yard, and picking up as many sticks fallen from the camphor trees as possible. This can keep her occupied easily for at least an hour. Another favorite activity, Mommy and Baby Yoga - however in this case, Mimi and Baby Yoga. Mimi brought Maddie home after class knocked out from all the downward facing dog.

Slappy Has An Awesome Time

First, enjoying her favorite activity, patting ELF on the head.

And all this while spending time splashing in ELF's pool.

Second, Aarin brought out the best toy ever, a laser pointer. We could not tell if Maddie or McGee enjoyed it more.

The Scrapper Gets Celebrated

Today, the Scrapper enjoyed a brunch in his honor. After deciding to remain on the inside, the brunch remained a "come celebrate him" event vs. the possible "come celebrate his arrival" event. Clearly, he feels one party is not enough for someone of his distinction.

Mimi was out to celebrate with everyone, although in actuality, she has been out since last weekend on the chance that freedom from bed rest = labor.

Kille brought all 3 of her boys, Mason, Wyatt and Everett. Wyatt and Everett are the same distance apart as Maddie and the Scrapper. Jess watched closely at the very full lap.Alex, Alison and Suzanne chilled under the tree on the very hot afternoon. Oh, yes - real men wear kilts, utility kilts.While ELF began to get friendly with the boys, her Dad being on tour, and not able to keep them at an arm's length.Mason, Scott, Jess, Brian, Holly and Liza Mae worked their creative juices over some onesies.

While Liza suggested that perhaps adult clothing would be properly referred to as twosies.Their juices' results.

Sam and Jess felt pleased the Scrapper was officially now fully cooked and commemorated. Now... we wait.

The Scrapper Is Nested

With the final aquisition of a double stroller, Jess has completed her nesting for the new one. It is on it's way to Burbank through the magic of UPS, but here is a little rendering of what we believe it will look like when tested by Arthur and Alex.

Slappy Sees Changes

In her bedroom.

And the new playroom.

Even Dad gets a desk in the new playroom, instead of his monitor sitting on a bookcase, as it did in the formerly known as dining room.

And finally, to her wall of fame - Aiden and Elizabeth have joined the wall. The rest are older, wiser versions of their former selves.
