Madd Max Heads From Dartmouth to Halifax

Via ferry.

To eat dinner at the Salt Yard Social, which all 3 kids deeply enjoyed.

Madd Max Enjoy Downtown Halifax

A stop at the Waterfront Farmer's Market, which was underwhelming but had freeze dried dracula teeth.

Then it was over to the waterfront for lunch.

Ridiculous cotton candy and ice cream.  Sadly, Aiden dropped his soon after.

Next stop, the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic.

Dozee found a model of the ship "Aquitania" that Great Grandma had come to America on.

Rounding out the evening, some "Mind the Gap" play.

Madd Max Goes On A Ghost Tour

Homemade breakfast burritos, which means Mimi has arrived.

Along with Dozee.

And Aiden, also not a bad group to come home to.

Mimi had arranged for the crew to go on a Halifax ghost tour, which started at the Citadel.

The tour ended down by the eerie Halifax Waterfront.  It was a mostly fun, and just a little bit scary/will stick with Madd and Jess in dark, night times.

Madd Max Have A Canadian Day

Sam and the kids headed to the Halifax Waterfront from some Nova Scotian/Canadian specialties.

First up, poutine.  Madd was not a fan.

Max 100% was.

Followed by a lobster roll.  Once again, Madd - no, Max -yes.

 

Madd headed out solo to explore the Public Gardens and managed to get a free 45 minute tour with Bruce, the docent, who was thrilled with his very interested tour group of one.

Dinner ready and the best faces ever around the table.  Work is so much better now.

Madd Max Visits Peggy's Cove

The fam has arrived for their 1 month stay in the Skosh!  First stop, the most photographed lighthouse in Canada.  And some ice cream.

Even though it was freezing and soooo windy.

Jess so was thrilled to have the family with her, and to be able to show them what she has been doing for the past 3 months.

Maddie requested Italian for dinner as a warm antidote to the cold outside, so they headed down to the Halifax Waterfront.

Wine tasting and a charcuterie board at Benjamin Bridge.

 

A stop at Lightfoot and Wolfville. 

A tour of Lunenberg.

And dinner at Jess' favorite restaurant, Seaside Shanty.
