Slappy Does The Powder Puff Derby

Last year, Maddie participated in the Powder Puff Derby.  

She did about 80 percent of the work on her car.  Sam said it was like going to a gun fight with a knife.

This year Maddie came up with the concept - a rainbow.

Maddie's car won her first heat, and came in second on the second.

She did however, win Best Original Car Design, pleasing both her and her dad.

 But first some refined lunching.

Before the masses poured out to collect the over 200 eggs Aarin had prepared.

The Easter Bunny came a day early to celebrate while Gwen was still in town.

Which allowed her to experience the Kender and now Page tradition of the scavenger hunt.

This year the Easter Bunny gave written clues along with photos.

Maddie and Gwen spent a lot of the time holding hands on line for rides.

Which they then rode with each other, feeling very adult. 

(Earlier Jess had explained to Gwen that you needed to be 7 to ride alone, and asked Gwen how old she was.  Gwen replied - 6.  Jess explained and asked again to which Gwen nodded slowly and said - 7).

Max did not get that luxury but he did get all the attention of his mom and Aunt.

A very full day ended with a very satisfying sleepover (their 3rd in a row).
