Max woke up around 10, and stepped out to see the presents under the tree.  It was explained that Taisie had stopped by with gifts.

He did not see past the tree to the stockings, by the media console with care.

Madd Max Gets A Christmas Eve Visit

From Uncle Wills and Aunt Ally.

Uncle Wills made the Yule Log with some niece help.

The girls made Ninjabread Men.

With the help of Aunt Ally.

And a very sick Max with his throw-up bowl.

Madd Max Celebrates Sam and 40

What a perfect place to start your 40th birthday - in a pirate bed at Legoland.

Followed by breakfast with ice cream as a main component - apparently now a tradition at Legoland.

A cold dip in the pool while Christmas carols play in the background.

Good times on fun rides.

Some Page birthday cake back at the house.

Followed by presents - some of which sustained some wrapping damage during transfer over to the Birthday Man.

Madd Max Returns To The Hotel

After a cold but great day - some cocktails.

A dance party.

And Maddie's dream come true - when she got called onto stage to participate in the show.  She was a ninja named "Kai" who loved "fighting" and who built a city from crackers which ended up being "extreme." (Her words in quotes).

It had been raining all morning, which meant that there was no wait for about any ride.

Truly - this is the way to do a theme park.  The fam rode the most popular rollercoaster 3 times in a row (typically an hour wait), as just one example.

Slappy Gets Her Brown Belt

And finally getting her brown belt, which means she is moving to her first "Young Adult" class. Sigh.
