Madd Max Arrives In Marseille

Jess' room at the Intercontinental had a patio.

With this view.  At first, Jess thought it was a mistake, but then decided to just let it ride because look at that view.

 

The hotel used to be a hospital before renovation.  That's some hospital.

After checking on the set, Jess found a restaurant that only served gnocchi.  Like the French equivalent of a Jersey pizza joint.

Finally, mostly, recovered from her oral surgery, she worked on repotting her birthday gifts.

Madd Max Has Another Great French Day

After prepping the sets for tomorrow, Jess' first shoot day, a walk thru the Jardin des Plantes with Mimi.

There were pink blooming trees all around.

 

For Mimi's send off, a bout tour of the Seine at Sunset, hosted by Jen Garner.

The tour was planned for Sunset, and so that every one could enjoy the views as the lights of Paris came on.  It did not disappoint.

Downstairs, there was a three piece band that maybe felt a little disappointed when absolutely no one spent any time on the lower deck.

Madd Max Has The Perfect Paris Day

The morning began with a walk over to the Bastille.

To check out their giant farmer's market.

Maddie would have loved all the flowers.  Mimi was upset that there was no way to bring all the cheeses home.

Then it was over to the Marais for a food tour, which began with a lemon brioche.

A stop in Place de Vosges for a carmelized onion tart.  The food tour also included sausages, crepes, a cheese plate and artisan chocolates.

For the evening's entertainment, Mimi found a drag cabaret show at Madame Arthur's.

The show was incredible and turned out to be a Queen tribute.

Truly, a perfect day.

While checking out the French crew's work at the mill, in a suburb a half hour outside of Paris, Jess ran into Cyndi, her Art Director from Greece.

And upon return, Mimi had gotten to the hotel and was ready for her first brasserie.
