Out in Fillmore, where Jess learned that the vine in their backyard is passion fruit, which she got to try fresh with a spoon.

She was given an entire bag of fresh-picked avocados to bring home.

And saw California's flowers really showing off.

Beautiful.

These pieces of the Berlin Wall were in the backyard of another location.  It was a really interesting day.

The Scrapper Thinks It's Too Long

Jess and Sam put notes into the kids' lunches, just like Mimi used to do.  Jess was exceptionally pleased with this one, which Max did not finish reading because "it was too long."

Madd Max Has A Full Saturday

Their first time at dim sum was at NBC Seafood in Monterey Park.  Maddie loved it, immediately asking for all of the things on every cart.

Worth the trip.

Max's team had a game in Simi Valley.  They lost 0-6.

And some time was spent with the vacation foster kittens, Meg, Sally and Daisy.

Alison and Brian were in town for the weekend, and Jess got to have some dinner with them at the Edendale.
