Maddie's meet was in Griffith Park.

She ran a 28:18 and came in 56 out of 86.

Max played in Bakersfield - they lost 15-0.

Jess had sent Mimi jams from this LA restaurant years ago.  Today, she got to try them in person, on brioche with whipped ricotta.

 

Added bonus of the day, Mimi made school lunches.

A staple when Mimi visits.  Tonight's dinner was a Southern feast.

But first, Maddie's favorite, the farmers market with Mimi.

Then, it was up to Goleta (north of Santa Barbara) for Max's 2nd game.  Mimi came to support.

Proud and slightly anxious parents. 

 

Max is the upper left.  The Cougars lost 9-1, but played a much better game.

 

Post-game McDonalds.  The ride up and back was a little tight due to also bringing up Levi, the team's goalie, and his gear.

All of the Kender kids and grandkids have Christmas stockings made by Mimi.  Today, Chase got his, complete with a string of lights in the stocking that actually work.

Of 10th grade at the Great Cow Run.  She ran 26:24 and placed 84 out of 112 in the Girls Sophomore race.
