Madd Max Celebrate 17 Years

 Of pretty dope marriage.

Jess and Sam ordered in takeout from Ca del Sole - the first restaurant Maddie ever went to.  The kids had some of their favorites - dumplings and supermarket sushi - and left after the salad course.  Afterwards, a movie for the parents while the kids hit the screens in their rooms.  Not a bad way to quarantine celebrate.

 The fam trained to be a foster family almost as soon as lockdown started, but there were less kittens this year and a lot more volunteers.  About a month in, the call came for one 2 day old kitten, and Jess and Sam decided no on that guy because it seemed like a lot of pressure to have such a young first foster.  This Saturday, they got the call for two 8 day old kittens.  Max came to pick them up.

Madd Max Finishes A Week Of Online Camp

Which they totally dug.  Aiden also took the same camp with them.  On the last day, they were able to showcase their work, and Mimi and Dozee could join the zoom as well.  One benefit to virtual camp.

Madd Max Has A Hematoma

Technically, Jess does in her right ankle which makes extensive walking and driving very difficult.  Sam said it's like their own soft version of the movie Misery.  He is thrilled because Jess can't leave the couch and they get to stay inside together all the time. Jess is less so.

Madd Max Has Date Night

Steve and Marissa have been doing this for weeks.  Picking up a date night meal and sending the kids into another room in the house while they had dinner and watched a movie.  Sam and Jess decided to try it out with Sugarfish (their first restaurant food outside of fast food in quarantine) and "The Invisible Man."  It was divine.

The Scrapper Protests

Max got very scared of getting Covid and passing it on, upon hearing that there was going to be a largish group of people at yesterday's protest.  He agreed he would like to come out when there were less, so he and Jess came back the following day.  He choose his dad's sign.

After packing out of Adam's, the fam headed to the actual trail where they were told to wear masks only when they passed people.

The entire trip was incredibly restorative.  As Adam says, it's a magical place.
