Maddie was feeling a bit under the weather in the am, and decided to pass on picking out the tree. Which then made Max pass as well. When Jess arrived home before Sam, she showed the kids this picture. Madd's response, "It's really small, but I guess that's what happens when you don't go. *deep sigh.*" Max's response, "It doesn't seem like there's enough room for presents under it."
When Jess began to move furniture to fit the the tree, Maddie sadly stated, "You're not going to need extra room for that." Both kids were excited once they realized that in fact, that was not the actual Christmas tree.
