Maddie is ridiculously excited about gambling and Vegas in general - her parents are not sure why. To start our road trip - the fam drove to Primm (3hrs 45min outside of LA) so that the drive the next morning would not be too long. Primm is the first town over the border of Nevada with casinos.
She was enthralled even though in general, Primm smells of stale cigarettes and resigned despair. Here she is proudly with her .25 cent voucher gotten after Jess gambled $2. She later told Jess that she planned on putting it up on her bedroom wall, but was then worried that her friends would think she was bragging.
Kids settle in for the drive.
