Madd Max Have A Halloween Parade

The first grade butterfly.
The Kindergarten zebra.
After the parade, Jess got to volunteer in class manning Halloween art projects.

Madd Max Are Excited

Luke and Stella came for the walk to school.
Which was actually the Halloween morning run to school.

Madd Max Go Trick-Or-Treating

 The trick-or-treating crew.
At our old house, there were typically over 350 trick-or-treaters.  The new house has about 100, which meant for the first time we could be the house with the full-size candy.
The zebra and Sully held hands in the beginning, or rather until the third house where Sully had already gotten the hang of it.  (On the first house, Sully i.e. Izzy received her candy and then walked right in).
Sully's parents and a very cool house.
Another of the joys of Halloween night - the giving out of the candy.  This year the kids' line changed from "Take 2" to "Take 1" - something which was at first very upsetting until we did a compare and contrast of the Fun Size vs Standard Size.
If you listen to the kid in the background - this gave Sam more joy than anything else.
("Chris, don't skip this one!!  They have full-size.")

Madd Max Gets New Pumpkins

Our PKP pumpkin began to look like this Wednesday morning.
 So Sam made new ones.
 The new ones.

Madd Max Have Custom Costumes

The zebra and butterfly courtesy of Mimi, with additional touch-ups on the butterfly by Liza Mae.
And their drawings of their costumes (made pre-arrival of said costumes).

Madd Max Pumpkin Carves

At Jess' Annual Pumpkin Carving Party.
Jamie and Erin working on their creations.
This was Maddie's first time actually getting in there.
She seeded and drew the face - then asked for some help with the actual cutting.
A little help.
Max worked hard at his top and also drew his design.
Marissa's little pumpkin.
Lilly at work on hers.
And rest.
The entries - Max's is bottom left. Maddie's is the bat on the bottom middle and the one to the right of the bat.
The winners:
Third - the reverse pumpkin - face held together by wire.
Second - the furry pumpkin (that pink hue is actually a layer of pink fur).
First - Sam's entry - the Derp pumpkin - bottom right.

Madd Max Does Their School Work

In order to miss 2 school days for a standard checkup in Palo Alto which also equals, more importantly, a visit with Maya and fam.  After hearing they had to have their homework done to be able to make the visit, they requested bringing it to In-N-Out so they could finish it.  They quietly did so.

Madd Max Goes To The Floating Pumpkins

Why Burbank is awesome.  They opened the pool for Halloween and tossed a bunch of pumpkins in.
Each kid got to take a pumpkin, decorate it and bring it home.
