Slappy Has Quiet Time

For the most part, Maddie no longer naps at home. She does have quiet time in her room where sometimes she reads, sometimes she draws...Sometimes she practices bondage.

Madd Max Head To Venice Beach

On a chilly, damp afternoon.Shells were searched for.Which thrilled Maddie.
Max, once again, had some trepidation about the beach and the "giant, giant waves." This proved to be a real fear when Max totally bit it in the surf, soaking himself everywhere except the fedora (Jess had a change of clothes).
A little ice cream once the sun came out.
And then an adult dinner - pix taken in "The Tequila Tunnel."

The crew headed over to the Findleys, where Aarin and Kerry got to spend some time. Jess, Kerry and Aarin have all known each other since 7th grade.

Madd Max Heads Back For One More Time

It was time to reintroduce Auntie Kerry to Disney.There are shows to see everywhere.

Madd Max Gets A First Time Visitor

Auntie Kerry arrived from Jersey, just in time to help the kids open some birthday gifts.

Slappy Gets Weighed

Maddie had her 4 year check-up.
Here's her stats:

Height: 40 7/8" (70th percentile)
Weight: 38.6 lbs (70th percentile)

That's a long way from the 45th and 10th percentiles from when she was 2 months old.

Madd Max Have A Little More Time

While the car ride over was filled with, "I don't want them to leave," the kiddos did get in a little more quality time with their grandparents during circle time.

Max is getting more adept at marching.

Toby and Taisie tried their turn after many years off ice.

Don't let the innocent face fool you. Miss Madeline remained at home for the first hour in a full-on temper tantrum about not being allowed to go to the rink in a summer dress ("I promise I will wear a jacket.") This outfit - long pants/shorts/long sleeved shirt/tank was the compromise.

Slappy Has A Tinkerbell Birthday

At 8am, the bounce house arrived bringing much delight.

Catching some air.

Yeah.
After bouncing for about 2 hours, Maddie began to worry that no one was coming to her party.

But fear not, kids and parents did come, along with Tinkerbell who got mobbed.

She brought dress-up, which Taisie helped with.

And kept the kids entertained with magic, face painting, a treasure hunt and balloon animals.

And now time for some focus.

The cake.

Which had on it a Rapunzel figurine whose hair became frosting on the cake - gross and fascinating.

There was also the standard pinata, which Sam milled a bat for, just minutes before the party. Yes, milled a bat.

The party was a success, as shown by Miss Fiona who knocked out after making it 2 hours past nap time. Quite a feat for someone who just turned one, this very day.

Madd Max Continues Prep

After asking everyone, Max finally found someone who agreed to play hockey.

Slappy Turns 4

The morning began with the traditional Page bed present, which Maddie woke up to and hugged. Her special request for breakfast - gum.At school, she made her birthday crown.

And then told her birthday story.

Which was watched proudly by Dad and Toby.

And Taisie, of course.

Then there was a pizza party where Maddie was thrilled to be able to hand food out to her friends.During the Happy Birthday song, Max made sure to keep his finger on Maddie so that it was clear whose birthday it was.

At home, Maddie got a full Tinkerbell outfit. Max got consolation Tinkerbell pumps.
